How to set up Mozilla Firefox for Adapt on your Windows PC.

Ensure the latest version of Firefox is installed.

Trusted Sites 

  • Click onto the Firefox Home icon on the top right-hand side   

  • Click onto ‘Options’ at the bottom of the page.

  • Click onto the ‘Security’ tab.

  • Select the ‘Exceptions’ button at the top right-hand side (next to “warn me when sites try to install add-ons”).

Type in your Adapt URL and press enter (e.g. http:\\172.16.x.xx, or your website address e.g. https://c8.adaptondemand.com). Click ‘Allow’, then ‘Close’.  

Switching off pop-ups 

  • Click onto the ‘Content’ tab and select the ‘Exceptions’ button for ‘Block popup windows’.

  • Type in the name of your Adapt URL and click ‘Allow’. 

  • Click OK to close the ‘Settings’ menu.

Clearing the cache on Firefox

Prior to logging into Adapt for the first time, your browser cache will need to be cleared.

  • Click onto the ‘Settings’ option.

  • Select the ‘Advanced’ tab.

  • Click onto the ‘Network’ tab.

  • Within the section for Cached Web Content, click onto the “Clear now” button.

  • Click ‘OK ‘to close the window.
