After the Temporary Candidate has been placed into the Job, Adapt will automatically put a reminder into the user's Tasks. This reminder will pop up on the Temp's start date to remind the user to run the ‘Temp Check In’ action.
Open the Candidate record and navigate to the Employment History page. Click the appropriate job link shown within the ‘Job Title’ list.
The Assignment record will open.
Extend Temp Regular Booking
To extend the Temp Booking, select the ‘Extend Booking’ action from the Activities menu of the assignment record:
The Extend Booking From field will automatically be updated with the Original End Date.
- Enter in the new 'From' and 'To' dates and new start and end Times.
- Confirm the Rate.
- Select the method of sending the documentation using the Send Docs By field. If sending the invoice out by post, users have the option to choose the address.
- Make any notes in the Journal Notes section and click on Confirm.
Note: The user can extend a booking even if the candidate has an interview during the extension period. A warning message will be displayed before the workflow completes.
If the start date is set back, and the assignment is already checked in, a warning message will be displayed before the workflow completes.
Amend Assignment Rates
- To amend the rates of the booking, select the action Amend Rates from the Activities menu of the Assignment record.
- Change the rate Category, if required. Enter the new pre and post AWR pay and charge rates per hour. Update any of the other rate fields if required e.g. O/T 1.
- Enter any relevant notes in the Journal Notes section and click on Confirm.
Note: If they are Framework Rates, a message will display asking the user to amend rates on the Framework record. For details on Framework Rates, please refer to the Temp Shift collection of articles.
Unbook/Amend Bookings on a Temporary Reg Assignment record
Temporary Regular Assignment shifts can be amended or unbooked from the ‘Filled Shifts’ page.
To unbook days from a Temporary Regular booking, tick the relevant days and click on the ’Unbook’ button.
If the Candidate is unavailable, select a reason why and mark them as unavailable for searching purposes.
Please note that the reason selected can impact the AWR clock. For further information, please see the AWR Recording Breaks section.
Users have the option to replace the unbooked Candidate with someone else. Enter the name of the Candidate in the ‘Replacement Candidate’ field.
Tick the box if the current Candidate is to be made available for the un-booked period.
A warning message appears if the user unbooks the assignment where timesheets already exist.
Select the method of sending documentation within the Send Docs By field. Choose which address if posting. Users can select the No Docs option if notifying the Candidate/Contact by telephone.
Add any relevant notes within the Journal Notes section.

Amend Shifts on a Temp Regular Assignment
To amend a shift, tick the relevant day to be changed and click on the ‘Amend’ button.
Amend the Date, Start Time, End Time, Rate Code and Paid Hours if required.
Select the method of how the documentation is being sent out by using the Send Docs By field. Users can select the No Docs option if notifying the Candidate/Contact by telephone.
Make any relevant notes in the Journal Notes section and click on Confirm.
