We are renewing an important Adapt certificate that will impact every user. From Monday 28st March 2022, any Adapt user will get a certificate prompt when logging in, which they will need to accept.
What is this Certificate for?
This ensures a secure connection for the Adapt Desktop Agent which enables users to open/download documents via Adapt.
Why is it being renewed?
Every certificate has an expiry date, ours is due in April. We want to ensure there is no user impact, hence the communication now.
What do I need to do?
Follow the below steps:
If a user selects No, what do I need to do?
If a user were to click No on the prompt above, then ADA would not be able to connect. In order to get the prompt to reappear, the user will have to log out of Adapt and log back in. If this does not work then we recommend they clear their browser cache using the instructions below:
Clear cookies and cache:
Open browser settings or use shortcut Ctrl+Shft+Delete
Go back to the Privacy and Security section
Click "Clear browsing data"
In the drop-down, select "All Time"
Make sure the boxes are checked on "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data" (Some boxes are checked by default; only these two need to be checked. Users can uncheck the others if they wish)
Click "Clear browsing data"
Closeout of all Chrome windows/tabs
Restart the browser.
Once this is done the same Certificate prompt will reappear, the user will then need to click Yes to install the certificate.
